From the environment to our team, we give it the respect it deserves—because a truly great vacation should leave a positive footprint.

Every time you book with us, you’re not just relaxing—you’re actively helping us make waves of change. We were the first multi-state resort group in the U.S. to earn B Corp Certification (yep, we’re kind of a big deal), and we’re all about doing business the right way.     Eco-Friendly... Because the Planet Deserves a Vacation Too

    At The Fold Hotels, we’re not just about giving you the best vacation—we’re on a mission to make sure the planet gets a little TLC, too. We’re partnering with local and national environmental heroes to highlight important initiatives, because we know that as a business driven by positive impact, we’ve got a responsibility to be part of the solution (not just the view).

    Here’s some of the cool stuff we’ve already done:

    • We’ve powered up electric vehicle charging stations at each resort—because even your ride deserves a recharge.
    • We’re running on 100% renewable electricity at Brigantine (thanks, Renewable Energy Certificates!), and 78% renewable electricity at our Indian Shores resort (shout-out to solar power). Together, that means 19.4% of our total energy use is now renewable.
    • We reached carbon neutrality by offsetting 100% of guest stays and activities—yep, zero guilt, all adventure.
    • We’re all about brighter stays with less energy—over 10% total electricity reduction and a 35% drop in usage per check-in since 2018, proving that doing good can look (and feel) pretty awesome.
    • We’re committed to saying goodbye to single-use plastics forever—because who needs 'em?

    But hold on, we’re about to level up:

    • Sustainable keycards with carbon labels? Coming soon to all resorts.
    • We’re aiming to cut our total water footprint by 25%. Splash responsibly, folks!
    • A 100% renewable energy future? You bet—we’re already at 78% renewable electricity at Indian Shores, 70% at Lake Buena Vista, and rocking 46% renewable energy across all resorts.
    • Onsite renewable energy at every eligible resort? You bet.
    • By 2030, we’ll cut Scope 1 and 2 carbon emissions by 50%. (32% of the way there!) Talk about a glow-up.

    Community: Where Good Vibes Meet Real Change

    At The Fold Hotels, we’re not just about giving you a great vacation—we’re about giving back, too. Our commitment to social purpose means we're building stronger, more sustainable communities, and helping our guests live healthier, happier lives by supporting B Corp and other values-driven businesses.

    Here’s some of the cool stuff we've already done:

    • We contribute 1% of hotel revenue to environmental charities as part of our 1% for the Planet membership—because saving the world is always in season.
    • In 2024, we smashed our volunteer hours goal with 2,051 company-wide hours and 75% participation. Yep, we're showing up and doing the work.
    • We give all our team members 8 hours of paid time off through our Day of Hope initiative, because giving back starts with taking care of our people.
    • We created an Environmental Purchasing and Disposal Policy that prioritizes Black-owned, women-owned, B Corp certified, locally-owned, and disability-owned businesses—because good business should be good for everyone.
    • We're committed to sourcing at least 50% of our non-labor expenses from independent and local suppliers—keeping it local, keeping it real.
    • We invest in our communities, honor their diversity, and show up in times of need. We believe hospitality should uplift not just guests but neighbors too. 

    But wait, there’s more—here’s what’s coming next:

    • We’re building an internal civic education program to keep our team informed, engaged, and ready to take action.
    • We’re expanding our health, wellness, and voluntourism offerings to give guests even more ways to give back.
    • We’re leveling up our Justice, Equity, Diversity, and Inclusion (JEDI) initiatives and metrics tracking—because we know the work doesn’t stop.

    At The Fold Hotels, we’re not just about giving you the best vacation—we’re here to change the game in the travel and hospitality industry. Our goal? Inspire the whole industry to embrace inclusive, regenerative practices and spread some seriously good vibes. Prosperity for all? Heck, yes.

    Here’s some of the cool stuff we've already done:

    • We’ve ensured that 100% of our eligible employees receive a fair wage, health, dental, and life insurance—because happy teams make happy guests (and happy guests make us look good).
    • Our Employee Loan Program is like a financial superhero—providing instant cash access with no credit score check, plus a side of financial literacy education.
    • Tuition reimbursement and scholarships? Yep, we’ve got those too—because who doesn’t love leveling up?
    • Diversity is our thing (52% of team members identify as women, 69% ethnically diverse)—but we’re not stopping here.
    • We measure what really matters: positive impact. That’s why we’ve added performance reviews based on the good stuff we’re doing.
    • We give our team members learning reimbursement, because every day is a school day when you're growing.

    But hold tight, here’s what’s coming next:

    • We’re collecting even more data on diversity and inclusion, and we’ll keep it 100% transparent because, well, that’s how we roll.
    • Our goal? 75% diversity by 2025. We’re pushing for progress, one step at a time.
    • We’re aiming to pass our current score of 126 points on our next B Corp Recertification—because good isn’t good enough, we’re all about greatness.
